Stage 1 of Filming
I am currently at the stage where I believe I'm ready to begin shooting the beginning scenes and title sequence of my film. I will be going into it with a good plan/layout of what to shoot, however I find its also good to allow some on set inspiration to occur whilst shooting. I've learnt from my previous task that I shouldn't leave the majority of the filming to be done through inspiration on the day, and also not allowing large periods of time to pass in-between shooting. British weather isn't too consistent; unless it's summer...always raining in the summer time.
The title sequence and first scenes of the film will just be introducing the character and establishing the setting. The beginning of the film has already been written and planned out, once I complete the shooting of it and am happy with the results I can start with the middle of the film and then, of course, the ending. In the mean time I want to start researching mise en scene of my genre and research some more ways in which I can use a soundtrack to assist my scenes and add tone/atmosphere.
Finally, I hope to be updating the Blogger more regularly with what we are doing within class and what I have been doing outside of class relating to the task. This will include little briefs, similar to this one, on what I'm doing or planning to do once I have reached a specific stage in my work. I'm expecting 3-4 stages of shooting, 2-3 stages of editing/camera work/mise en scene and maybe one on soundtrack.
